Brembo bbk question
I just found out looking at my front brakes today, they are drilled and slotted rotors that the previous owner put on, that there are cracks forming from the drilled holes. I'm thinking these were cheap rotors that he put on, so I'm looking into a bbk. I looked into LS and TT brakes. I just remembered today that my uncle works for Brembo and lead design team for Audi and can get almost anything for near to nothing. (Stupid me for spending tons of money on parts I could get cheaper, oh well)
My question is, will Supra TT rear calipers and rotors bolt directly? Or will a bracket have to be made? And yes I searched on here and Google.

first of all...you lucky bastard hah hook it up
if you're talking about the brembo kit...then it should come with everything you need (forgot whether the brake lines came with it or not)...
if you're talking about just the stock TT setup...it's a bolt on

Depending on the deal you can get on the Brembos, the stock TT/LS400 brakes do wonders for the car as is and present excellent value.
If your uncle has a truly amazing hook up, I say 8pots up front and 4 pots out back on 15.5" rotors behind some 20" mesh wheels. You will stop faster than a Lambo.

My uncle helped design the car in the picture on this page http://www.nytimes.com/2005/10/26/au...pagewanted=all

i was just looking at the kit CDY linked, and the rears don't seem like they'll fit due to the rear parking brake being integrated into the rotor. another question, does the ls400 have integrated parking brake in the rotor?

Keep in mind when looking at brake upgrades, only get what you're going to use. ie, if you're not running on a track once a week, you probably don't need 14in rotors, and the bigger your rotors/calipers are the more unsprung weight you're dragging around. For daily driving, I think the standard 12.3in Supra rotors from Brembo are more than enough.

Because you need to strike a balance between braking and unsprung weight. If you can get the really exotic stuff that weighs the same as the OEM stuff, then knock yourself out. If it weighs more than OEM, then it's just extra unsprung weight for the suspension to counter. The rule in racing is to use the smallest brake you can get away with because wheel compliance is king for performance.
If you just want to look flashy and impress your friends, ignore all this engineering stuff and put the biggest, blingingest brakes you can fit inside a wheel. The engineers will laugh, but the general population will be impressed.
