Default Brembo bbk question

I just found out looking at my front brakes today, they are drilled and slotted rotors that the previous owner put on, that there are cracks forming from the drilled holes. I'm thinking these were cheap rotors that he put on, so I'm looking into a bbk. I looked into LS and TT brakes. I just remembered today that my uncle works for Brembo and lead design team for Audi and can get almost anything for near to nothing. (Stupid me for spending tons of money on parts I could get cheaper, oh well)

My question is, will Supra TT rear calipers and rotors bolt directly? Or will a bracket have to be made? And yes I searched on here and Google.

first of all...you lucky bastard hah hook it up

if you're talking about the brembo kit...then it should come with everything you need (forgot whether the brake lines came with it or not)...

if you're talking about just the stock TT setup...it's a bolt on

Depending on the deal you can get on the Brembos, the stock TT/LS400 brakes do wonders for the car as is and present excellent value.

If your uncle has a truly amazing hook up, I say 8pots up front and 4 pots out back on 15.5" rotors behind some 20" mesh wheels. You will stop faster than a Lambo.

I think the best calipers you can get from Brembo for the supra are 6-pot.

i was just looking at the kit CDY linked, and the rears don't seem like they'll fit due to the rear parking brake being integrated into the rotor. another question, does the ls400 have integrated parking brake in the rotor?

I don't have any experience with Endless brakes, but I hear they're top notch. I can tell you that Brembo GT kits are considered the best of the best of production performance brakes.

I don't know about the LS400, but the Supra e-brake is integrated, that's why the BBK is like that.

Keep in mind when looking at brake upgrades, only get what you're going to use. ie, if you're not running on a track once a week, you probably don't need 14in rotors, and the bigger your rotors/calipers are the more unsprung weight you're dragging around. For daily driving, I think the standard 12.3in Supra rotors from Brembo are more than enough.

Because you need to strike a balance between braking and unsprung weight. If you can get the really exotic stuff that weighs the same as the OEM stuff, then knock yourself out. If it weighs more than OEM, then it's just extra unsprung weight for the suspension to counter. The rule in racing is to use the smallest brake you can get away with because wheel compliance is king for performance.

If you just want to look flashy and impress your friends, ignore all this engineering stuff and put the biggest, blingingest brakes you can fit inside a wheel. The engineers will laugh, but the general population will be impressed.

im not looking for racing...yet. i first need to deal with maintanence and my rotor are warped and one of my calipers is siezing, so why not get something for a great deal and fix a problem? i can always sell it later if need be. for unsprung weight, i need to drop my 20" rims that came with the car when i bought it before i need to care about light weight rotors, they weigh a good 60lbs.
