Default Clear head light cover

I was reading Option 2 magazine and stumbled upon this..

**De-lining the head light covers has been a hot topic.. So please delete this thread if this is a re-post.**

They are manufactured by "Super Made."
http://shop.yumetenpo.jp/goods/d/sup...a/index.shtml#

Product description (from Option 2):
As with JZA80 and JZX90, Soarer's plastic head light cover turns yellow due to age. On top of it, Soarer has debuted in 1991 and head light cover design hasn't been altered since then. These head light covers freshens and up lifts the look of already great looking but a little out dated Soarer's head lights. To install, remove head light assembly from body, soften surrounding silicon using heatgun/oven, remove & replace the head light covers, apply new silicon, reverse the process. These set of head light covers will give your Soarer a sharper and up dated look it deserves. Price: 31290 yen or about $268.35 @ today's yen rate.

Are you guys serious??????

$268.00 for nothing more than the headlight cover???

Would make MUCH more sense to buy a brand new set of headlights and deline them yourself.

I was interested in getting these a while back when I saw these on Yahoo Japan, however I've never seen them close-up (even in pictures) to see if they will look nice with the original high beams and fog lights (clear headlight lenses and lined auxiliary lights, is it a go or no?)

theyve been on yahoo japan auctions for quite some time. they still look ugly IMO because you can clearly see the gray plastic behind the turn signal and the jagged edges.
