What is this worth....
So I am thinking about doing a complete engine swap in my 96 sc300 and I was wondering what my 2jzge engine is worth. I am still undecided on the engine as of now, but I need to know what I could get out of my current engine to cover some of the costs of my new swap.
The motor has 173,XXX miles on it and I dont have any records of service on it.
All I can really say is that I have had the car since March, it has had two oil changes with high mileage castrol 10w-30, have put 3,000 miles on it **did a oil change right after I bought it, just to be safe**, have done 10 passes down a 1/4 mile drag strip, I dont "baby it" on wet pavement, have done many (not all the time) WOT take offs, most of the time I dont let it sit at idle at start up, drive it roughly 10 miles a day to and from work 5 days a week for the past two months, and it runs smooooth.
So what would the value of my engine be in US dollars?
