just smash and bash on everything. When Honda produces a NSX they test drive that thing like a race car on the first few miles. The days of babying a new car are over.

Default Schools of break-in

There are several break--in procedural roads to take, and several really notable engineers with books written on the subject. The only thing they agree on is that long-term constant-RPM during break-in is disadvantageous. They know this based on bench-test data that says motors operated at low-load, fairly constant RPM are significantly worse off after a large number of miles have accumulated on the engine due to the ring-to-bore match (created during this type of break-in) that is violated over time. Result? oil leaks, reduced compression, etc.

In your case, break-in is over. Drive the car.

For your next car, this convention will once again have been visited by numerous mechanical engineering graduate students that will still have nothing conclusive.

Your Lexus is over-designed. Drive it.
