Default air ambiant sensor

was wondering if anyone used the outside air temp for air intake temp. like using the stock digital gauge for air intake temp

If memory serves me correctly, It is built into the "mass air flow meter".

i know that. im asking why not use the stock ambiant air temp sensor which is located on the front bumper. and mount a sensor instead of that on the intake manifold. so you u can use the stock gauge to monitor intake air temp
