Default Neutral Pull

IDK if this is normal but when I am driving along I put the car in neutral and rev it to about 5 grand I get a little bit of a pull forward. Like it is still in drive. it only does it once every time I put it in neutral and only right after I shift in to it.

BTW I have a 92 SC 300 with 90k.

That'd be a transmission question.

Moved.

Maybe it's just gravity and you're rolling forward?

Mine does that as well but I don't think it should be normal. When in neutral the engine and driving wheels should be disconnected from another.

Well I drive a 5spd manual. If it was rolling forward in neutral on a flat plane, I would be worried. I still say, it's called freaking gravity & the curvature of our planet.

My car did that after I bent the fingers on my stock clutch, but I haven't noticed it since I got the Centerforce in.

thrust is unavoidable when gases are flying at extremely high rates of speed.

It's a noticeable lurch forward though, it's not just roll. It's like if it suddenly caught hold of the tranny for a sec.

Why do you put it into neutral and rev to 5k?
