Dimming Mirror Problem... Dims when car is off
Hey guys, I recently bought a rear view mirror from Aliga and installed it. The problem is that when I turn off the car, the mirror dims (gets darker). The thing is when it is hot, and I get in the car the mirror has been dimmed the entire time. Right when I put the key in, the mirror gets light, but because of the heat half remains dimmed for a long time.
I went into many different SC's and even my old mirror did not do this. The only time the dim function turned on is when I pressed the button (it is not auto dim). Does anyone know why this is happening?

mine dims all the way when the car is on. i have to turn it off for it to clear up. if its been dim for a while and then turn it off it will remain half clear and dim at the bottom. maybe this is a design flaw?
Mine does the same thing. When it is really hot(just about everyday) the mirror will be dimmed almost fully. WHen i get the air going, and it finally cools the interior, the dimming will eventually fade completely away.
The dimming function works, so iguess it has something to do with the temperature inside the car. I was at a salvage yard in Mobile Al, today and there was one still mounted in the car, and it had no dimmed out spots, but i couldnt get because i didnt have the proper wrench to remove. I lucked out and found the center vent and passenger vent still intact with no cracks as well.
