Rearview Mirror!
I tried searching... and I don't think anyone has talked about this problem....
My rearview mirror doesn't un-dim correctly... I press the button... the mirrors dim perfectly on a hot day but takes time on cold days... but don't un-dim completely on any day.
There's always a little shade left on the left side and it is VERY annoying. I can't believe I have overlooked this problem and not asked anyone about it.
My windows are tinted pretty dark so I can barely see anything at night from my rearview mirror when the thing is dimmed.... what to do.... what to do??
Is there a simple fix to this, if there is let me know!!
GRRRR
thanks
Sanj

I don't think that you can fix this. The spot on one side means that there is a delamination in your mirror. This usually occurs on the outside mirrors, in which case, you either live with it or buy a new mirror.
I suggest that you check out junk yards for a used one. Most of used mirrors should still be good since it doesn't happend often to the internal RW mirrors.
Good luck.

I think it happens to most Gen 1 LS400s. There's one on Ebay once in a while. I've always suspected those were bad too. I went with the temp/compass Gentex for mine. Only problem there is attaching the tab on the windshield.
