I recently picked up a 1995 Lexus sc and this past Friday my ac stopped working. The heat does not work either. Has anyone here ran into this problem? I called a Lexus deal and they told me to bring the car in. Just wanted to see if anyone knew a fix before i take it to the dealer. The fan just blows hot air when its hot and cold air when its cold outside.
Thanks

dealer gonna kill you with $$ Sounds like you need a re-charge of your a/c system. I'd check out mom-n-pop places first... Thats what I did and paid alot less than a dealer would have raped me with
Your AC needs to be re-charged. I had the exact same problem, whenever I turned my AC on, it just blew air...wasn't cold at all. Go to like Jiffy Lube or something instead of the dealer.
How about the Heater Control Valve? SC are prone to these unhooking thus leading to worse problems. Although this solution is more attributed to your heater not working.
To check this, start your car, turn the AC on. If you hear the car idle up (Meaning the engine revs higher), your compressor works and is most likely just a recharge.

Please be more specific. Did the blower go, or just no cold or hot air?
No cold air most likely means that you need to be recharged, but there has to be a reason why the freon left in the first place. The dealer will also inject it with a U.V dye that will show where the leak is. You will probably need some components to be changed.
As for the heater, it could be the valve or coolant level. Do a search and you will see many DIY's on how to fix the heater valve.
