ok old thread but...will this grounding kit stuff fix the hesitation i seem to have when i'm lightly pressing on the throttle, like i'm just driving around a parking lot or sumtin?
As I was rereading this thread I was remembering what finally got rid of my hesitation, and it was a low speed problem like yours breakb. I put in a new set of plugs and plug wires, and its running perfectly. I went with the blue NGK and Autolite platinum plugs. There are lots of links around to show you exactly how to do the plug wires, easiest job on the car.
dam, alright man. thanks. gonna go get some from napa or checkers or sumtin. thats been annoying me. i'll try look for a link, good thing the engine is mounted vertically.
just changed my spark plugs. if that was the easiest thing...then dam i'mma have someone else do all the stuff for me. my back hurts, lol. ah wells. i jsut drove it home which was like 3 min. and i drove super light throttle all the way. and NO HESITATION!!! gonna try it more tonight. but so far...seems promising.
yups already changed the wires as well at the same time. so just gonna look into the tranny flush. like i said hesitation still there sometimes. but not as much now. and i think my gas mileage went up. ^_^ can't wait till i save up money to look at my tranny and stuff. lol. love this car more and more everyday.
it says that in 92, which is my year car, the trans wouldn't shift right sometimes, because of a faulty ground i guess. could this also be part of the problem? and anyone know how to do it? or should just take it to dealership...
I have an interesting wiring problem that came out of nowhere, now. When I turn on my parking lights and headlights, my interior lights go out. Gauge cluster (except for warning lights, just the 4 needles and all of the back lighting), radio, climate control all go dark. It started doing it a few nights ago, had never had a problem before that.
My SAFC, wideband, and boost gauge all stay lit up because they're powered independently of those things, is this a ground or what? I checked fuses and they looked fine.
try check if some wiring to the dimmer switch? because if u turn the dimmer all the way down and turn on ur headlights, everything will go completly dark like that right? maybe the dimmer switch shorted or something?
i don't know anything about electrical. just a guess i'm taking here. >_<
