So from all of you guys that are running an xpipe in your exhaust setup how do you like it? Who manufactures it and what is the id #? Why is this better than other setups; performance and sound?

Someone has got to be using an Xpipe in their exhaust....

Magnaflow makes a nice True-X pipe that will fit the SC. Many say it's a great addition to the exhaust.

Others will tell you to search cause they're too lazy to type an answer. (sort of takes that interactive thingy out of forums if ya ask me)

No man you are missing my point for this thread. This thread is for people to post their exhaust system with part numbers and sound so that other's can use it when they are thinking about doing something with their exhaust. i.e. to figure out what type of sound or loudness that they want. So in a way you can kind of call this a resource for exhaust.

Unfortunately, there are only a select few universal aftermarket X-pipe options out there.

I would guess that 98% of the X-pipes on SC's are Magnaflow. Honestly, they make a great X-pipe. I think they make a 2.25", 2.5", and 3" X-pipe.

The straight six guys either go single exhaust or need a Y-pipe to go dual, and most V8 guys that have an X-pipe went with Magnaflow. It is really that simple.

I recall seeing a few SC400 sets up that included custom X-pipes that were made in house at an exhaust shop. But, by and large, this thread is simply asking guys to post photos of their Magnaflow X-pipe.

Honestly, the Magnaflow X-pipe will be going on my car when I get around to exhaust. It is a very good X-pipe at a great price.

Where are you at in nc? I can direct you to a great custom exhaust shop in the Charlotte area. C and C in Monroe does some great work and they have done the exhaust on some cars i have personally done swaps for.

Last year i ran across an article on the internet that experimented with different x-pipe designs and showed an X-pipe that had a long merged area, on planet soarer.

I don't see the point of running an X pipe instead of just making our exhausts true duals. Perhaps someone can fill me in.

A true dual system is less efficient than a merged system. With all 8 cylinders connected at some point the entire firing process helps scavenge gases from the exhaust because every pulse runs through the exhaust instead of only half the exhaust. In a true dual setup there is almost a pause between exhaust pulses which breaks up the exhaust gas movement.
