Bobbing Shifter... is this normal?

Dunno, when i called about them i just called them shifter bushings and they knew what i was talking about so i guess thats what they're caled.

I called 3 dealerships today and checked the one I work at. These don't exist! Your only option is to buy the entire assembly which is $$$

Alrighty, i finally got around to doing it and WOW! Such a difference for just an hour of your time and $2! I got my blue bushings from toyota for like $1.84, 2 in one little baggy. You have to remove the entire center console, then unscrew the shifter linkage screw from the bottom and pull the entire shifter assembly out. At this time, there will be a boot time thingy protecting the bushings/assembly on bottom, take that off, unscrew the long bolt that holdes the linkage onto the housing and install your bushings. Super easy, and it makes the shifter feel like new!

are you a 5 speed or auto?
