Pretty sure my 1jz ecu is going out on me, anyone else have this happen? It seems somewhat common on supraforums, but was curious if any CL members have experienced this. What happens is I miss terribly at 4.4k-6.5k and sometime sooner/later, but always between those rpms. The reason I suspect the ECU is becuase it doesn't do it in first gear.

 

thats weird, i havent heard of them doing that but im still new to the community. if you need a new ECU i have a extra A/T ecu sitting in the garage. pm me if you want it.

 

A/T? I need a manual ecu.

 

I never had an issue with my 1jz ecu.. But when I dropped the n/a back in I went thru 2 bad ecu's both with different issues.

 

What kind of issues where you having?

 

one of them made the car run like crap... the other one didnt go into overdrive... i took the covers off of them and you can see the resistors or transistors/capacitors or whatever that got burnt up...
