hey red, is that the same mod as xcelr8? the gs side markers? you got any close up pics? i would like to see how much of a gap if there is any when using the gs markers. it was kind of hard to tell on xcelr8's since his was black. and did you also cut off the bumper? or the marker?

I wanted to post a pic comparing the SC and GS/IS side markers:

I wonder if I sawed the side markers, what the result would be; if it would be a clean cut or if there would be cracking? I might try several different methods when I go to my dad's house which has a lot more power tools, etc. Or I could modify the OEM side markers, like black them out, paint them red or the hardest: Taking the orange piece off and making a clear piece.

There are also some really cheap universal side markers on ebay (ad said for Lexus SC300/400, etc., though) that are a lot smaller than the OEMs and rounded on all four sides. I don't know how they'd look (and fit) with the slanted shape on the bumper, if they'd look weird or out of place...

I trimmed my GS sidemarkers on the sides to compensate for it being larger. I took a heatgun and stretched the bumper a few mm but this wouldnt be needed if you did have a heatgun.

Wow.. its filthy LOL

Nice job...similar to what i did. The screw holes are slightly different, but I ended up just using ONE hole...it isn't going anywhere. I didn't stretch bumper...just cut. I wwill never go back to the stock, but I placed them in there just to see and they look fine anyway. IMO.

wow..that looks pretty clean..fits there almost perfect..so when you trimmed the gs markers..did you use some sealant on that so that it wouldnt get moisture in there? if so, what sealant did you use? and they came with bulbs right? just to make sure

RedPhoenix what did you use to trim down the sides and did you trim on both sides or just one? can you notice any rough edges when looking at the sides from the trimming?

I used a bench grinder, but sand paper would work. no sharp edges because i hit it with some sandpaper after. i did both sides.
