100A/120A Alternator?
What is going on? My repair manual show on the specification sheet that the alternator is 100A. I just want to order a equal or better amperage alternator and people just treat me like I don't know anything. I am not about to take my alternator out to check exactly what I have. If my has a 100A, a 120A is better for it. Sell me your damn alternator.

VQT, three alternators were available in our cars, if memory serves. I believe they are 90amp, 100amp, and 110amp, but since these are all small-case units, upgrading is a hassle, just look at how much the Suprastore gets for an upgraded unit.

Does your manual indicates that SC300 alternator is 120A?
My SC400 manual shows 100A for the SC400 alternator.

It's just that when I went to the store to order the alt. they kept telling me that they need the original part no.
May be I should tell them that I want an alternator for a SC400 with 120A rating.
NAPA has 5 different alt. ranging from $189 to $344
The one store from Lex Luthor wouldn't ship the alt. Lex said that he'll sell the Alt. to forum member at $145

VQT, as I said already, I don't sell this alternator, I was just sending you to a place I do some business with, because they have always taken care of me and those that I sent to them. As I told you before, if you need, i'll make the shipping arrangements, JUST SO YOU STOP BLOWING ME UP! I was just trying to help you by giving you a number, I don't sell this alternator and I certainly don't make any money from this, if I had the time to build a unit (really not that difficult) i'd be finishing my N2O plumbing, plus I even offered to walk u through the rebuilding process.

Lex,
I already thank you for your help in my other post. As for this post, when I wrote the replied you haven't answer any of my post or the post I page you. I didn't mean to "blow you up".
I don't have the time to rebuild the thing myself either. So far you and another guy on eBay have the best price.
Hey I am the consumer. I can shop for the best price right
