GO! I want to see how hard it would be to get a 92 in the high 14's range.

agreed.

For 14's, I would first make sure your spark plugs are fresh and new, and I would Seafoam the engine and subsequently change the oil to give the internals a fresh start. A torque converter with a jacked up stall (2800-3000) could maintain some streetability while getting you off the line in a hurry so long as you had an LSD to assure maximum traction. A BFI intake would get your engine breathing better for only a few bucks. Removing the carpeting, spare tire, and cd changer for the track would drop weight. Slicks and some practice with brake torqueing the car off the line for the best launch should get you a timeslip in the 14's in my opinion.

The slicks and LSD in conjuction with the torque converter should have a dramatic improvement on your 60-ft time and thusly your quarter mile time.

Will and SC400 with BFI, and exhaust be able to run in the high 14's? Anyone with some basic mods with have a timeslip? I've looked around other forums and all I can find is people running 15.0-15.3 stock (92-96 cars).

I doubt a BFI/Exhaust SC400 will be in the 14's unless it has VVT-i.

The BFI/Exhaust route would really help your top end, but the most significant drops in 1/4-mile times come from getting off the line. The TC/LSD/Slicks combo would get you launching very hard, hard enough to get into the 14's if you applied a few simple weight savings techniques for the track.

As mentioned, nitrous would easily get you into the 14's. A piggyback ECU to alter timing accordingly would be perferred as a supporting mod so as not to detonate your engine.

i dont have the exact #'s and it isnt a 1/4mile but in the 1/8mile i ran a 8.9 spinning.... i believe thats is mid 13's....please correct me if im wrong. here were my mods:
-apexi intake
-apexi supermegaphone exhaust w/ catdelete's
-denso iridium plugs
-NOS wet kit (80shot)
-255 Nitto NT-01 tires

car made 196rwhp but i couldnt get a clean dyno run my o/d button was broken so it kept on shifting and then down shifting. on one down shifting pass i made 220 i believe.

A good tune can get you close, along with the BFI and minor exhaust work. Member, jbrady has a best of 14.22 in his 99 LS with these minor mods. Granted, he has about 50hp over a 92-93, 14.9 should be doable.
