Still sqeaking after repair!
I belive your right about the crank rubbing especially if it jiggles. So basically, when the belt is off the car and you reach down and grab the crank pulley, it should not move at all right? That tells me it's time for a new one then. What would cause this to happen? I've done a few burnouts when it's wet....
At least I'm getting to the root of this issue.

Well....Time....constant force against the bolts holding on. Too be sure check everything...if you don't trust your mechanical skills or slightly unsure...find a good mechanic.
Power Steering pump will always be resistant...Its essentially a hydraulic pump, and turning it by hand is compressing the fluid...If its easy to turn and no resistance what so ever....That's bad.

I am having this problem as well on my SC4. Belt was quiet when i put a brand new one on, then on the flat part (not ribbed), it starts to wear down toward the front of the car. The thing squeaks quietly during idle, gets louder with AC on. Gets louder under load.
I found out it was not the ac compressor because i barely tagged the belt with wd40 while idling, and the sqeeking went away. It slowly came back after the wd40 wore off. The compressor and clutch are also relatively new, they've been replaced recently.
I haven't checked the crank pulley yet, i guess i need to do that next...
Also forgot to mention, i replaced the tensioner, tentioner pulley and bearing, idler pulley bearing, and powersteering pump and alternator and ac compressor/clutch. The belt is rubbing somewhere either due to increased resistance or a bad pulley... maybE?
