Three options come to mind....

-Spend hours and hours removing the rear seat, which includes a crapload of interior stuff, get the keys, and then put it back together.

-Have a Lexus Dealer make a new key.

-Call a locksmith and see if they can make a key.

If the Locksmith could do it, it would be cheaper then the Dealer, but the dealer would be the quickest, if they can do it on a saturday.

You can't get to the trunk through the back seat, the gas tank is blocking the way.

Your right. Good call.

Id get a key from the dealer. Sounds like you need a spare, anyway.

you can get to the trunk from the sub woofer. Remove the sub and you can see into the trunk. Use a flashlight to locate your keys. Go to a store and buy some strong magnets and a wire coat hanger. Take the coat hanger and bend into a straight wire. Hook the magnets onto the end of the coat hanger and fish around through the sub woofer hole until you catch your keys on the magnet and slowly pull them out.

The back seat takes mere seconds to remove.......but there is a metal firewall that you CANT get thru. The gas tank is right behind that.

Removing the sub wont help either, In between the sub and the trunk is the trunk liner that attaches at the top. You could push it down.....but then it would cover the key.....which you're trying to get too. (I suppose its possible.....but that could go either way)

Give you local dealer the VIN......they can make a new one.

**EDIT**....sorry....still learning to read....LOL

he says his trunk button doesn't work even if the switch is unlocked...and you are right about the liner. I forgot about that! When I had my keys in the trunk (and the trunk switch was locked at the time) I went through the sub, but my liner is missing!

is yours trunk unlock bad or just locked. because all you have to do is unplug the wires going to trunk pop switch and short them with paper clip or wire or better yet get long wire attach one endto ground and the touch one wire at the time and trunk should pop open.

Since we get a thread like this every 6 months (with the same answers in every thread, try searching) it seems like we need to find a solution to this and make the trunk release idiot proof to stop this from happening.

We'll have to find a solution now while we can still get in the trunk.

Have you tried changing the fuse for the trunk release? On my ES I removed the outside trunk lock to put on different tails, and then the release button stopped working from the inside so I changed the fuse and all was well. Its worth a shot.

going through the sub woofer does work, you just have to give the liner a little push and it pops off like the side liners in the trunk , when you get your keys back you can go into the trunk and pop the liner back on, easy as 123.

oh and if you break a clip you can just get new ones, i think they are cheap at the dealer

i actually went through the sub and pushed the liner out, since my subs are so huge the box was right in front of it, tada keys were right on top of the box, bad thing is i cut myself pretty deep when a bee flew in and scared the crap out of me. hehehe, now i ned a key with the button on top, but stealership says 450 for a new one. any ideas? aftermarket? i saw this keyless entry pad on ebay that says it will learn the key code and work, but im not sure.
