Default check engine light

How to pull out the code when check engine light is on? I can't find anyone with obd 1 scanner. Any other solution?

If you take your positive wire off of your battery and let it sit for two hours and the computer will reset it's self.

i'm not sure if it works the same on a 2jz-ge motor but on my supra (gte motor) if you go in the diagnostic box in the engine compartment. you can find TE1 and E1

find away to connect those two terminals (ie- paper clip or a 16 gauge wire) turn the ignition key to the "ON" position. for the engine warning light. it'll start to blink in sequence. count it and count the pauses, i believe there is a guide online somewhere that shows the OBD1 diagnostics codes.
