The rod that connects to my sc400 door handle broke. I was able to get the door open after reading a thread on the forum. However, the rod broke once I lowered my window. I was hoping it was just the connector, but it's both. I've found the plastic connector, but I need to replace the rod. Any suggestion on where I can purchase the rod and instructions on installing it.. Thanks for any suggestions.....

In looking at the parts catalog from lexus, it looks like they only sell this part as included with the door lock mechanisim, & accuators. Aprox 200ish from www.oelexusparts.com, you will have to take the window out for propper access.
You are going to have to replace the whole doorlock mechanism. I did my brother's car when the rod on this SC broke. No that hard to do you just need small hands. Contact Aliga for a good used one.

This is the plastic piece you need. I ordered from these guys and they sent me 4 of them. Not sure if it was by mistake or they threw them in for backups, but I was happy either way. http://northlandfasteners.biz/Store/...oducts_id=2410
btw: I just noticed it doesn't list the sc on that page, but trust me that is the correct one.
Mine broke on the drivers side last week, I just ordered this part from Aliga.
Here is what I have left to do before she purrs like a kitten:
Fuel Lines and Filter, my original intentions was to do this over a month ago, but my fuel filter bracket is rusted, so I need that as well as the hardware and the fuel line connecting into the fuel tank.
Replace Sending Unit so my thermostat actually dips above C.
Rear Diff. Drain and Fill, either with redline or royal purple 75w90
Then I have to figure out my sunroof, I believe it's the motor that is out, after that I have an endless list of things I want to do to the car.
Right now I'm doing the important preventative maint. before I start to put in the cool stuff like new tc, exhaust, leather, tint, system, climate control lcd, etc.
I took what was left of the tiny yellow plastic piece to my local Toyota dealer and they had them there. I spent less than $5 for two of them! Hope it helps!
Peace.
