SC300 suspension questions
What's up everyone! My first post woo hoo! So I just picked up a bone stock 96 SC300. I want to do some suspension mods first, so my first question is, I've heard that if I purchase a coilover system that's made for a Toyota Supra, I'd be able to go a lot lower than if I purchased one made for the SC, is this correct? If it is I'm assuming the same year Supra as my SC i.e. coilovers for a 96 Supra for my 96 SC? My second question is what coilover setup would you guys suggest to be able to go super low? I know JIC makes the VIP coilover system for other cars, but not for my SC. I had a set of Tein Flex's on my WRX, and because you could adjust height by both the spring pearch, and the entire shock body was threaded too you could slam the car to the ground, almost as low as if it had air suspension. Thanks in advance for the help you Lexus gurus!
it won't matter weather you get the sc300 coilovers or the ones for the supra. If you look at part numbers they should be the same for most companies,,,,meaning their the same. I won't completely slam it because it will handle like pooo, if your going for looks and don't care much of performance get some airbags, because even double adj. coilovers won't work to their potential while completely bottomed out (not to metion the alignment and bushings) So if you want the VIP look go with air....if you still want your car to handle well and look good get the coils(2-2 1/2 in drop)
