First of all, hello to everyone. My name is Mani and I've recently purchased a 95 SC300.
As part of my first modifications to the car I'm getting ready to upgrade the wheels and suspension. That said, here is my question to anyone who may know about the SC suspension system.
I have three full sets of coilovers from my Supra that's sitting around the house. Do any of you know if the Supra (93+) suspension system will bolt on to the SC.
Thanks in advance for your replies.
In answer to your question, yes. This is a very common question and it's covered in many FAQ's (www.intellexual.net is a good one) and in the forums a million times. Use the search box next time before asking a question like this, it will save you time and you get your answers right away.
Also, there's a suspension section of the forums where this thread should have been started. The moderators hate when you post in the wrong place and they have to move the thread later (and they will move this one hehe).
I'm not bashin ya, just a newbie, too and offering some pointers. There's a few rules they like for you to follow and it makes the stay better for all of us.
Welcome to CL. I've seen your car quite a few times from the vids in SF. Since u got 3 sets of coilovers, are you willing to sell one of them for cheap? Are you planning to turbo up the sc?
what brand suspension are you going to use? i'm runnin tanabe. tell me how your install went, i think i had to ditch a few of the sc suspension parts to make mine work. just mainly the soft bump stops from the rear and the front.

I have a custom built set that came off of my supra that I'm thinking about using. I'll be doing the installation this Friday and I'll post any issues, if any, that I may encounter.

welcome fellow newbie!! if you ever want to get rid of all that extra supra suspension, which i'm sure is cluttering your house, shoot me an email or pm!!
I think the entire front suspension is compatible with the Supra. Lower control arm, upper control arm, shock/springs, and bushings. I'm not sure about the swaybar and swaybar bushings.
The rear shock/springs are compatible with the Supra.
they are compatible but some sets made for the supra needs minor adjustments to fit the sc. for mine, i had to ditch the spring cushions and what no from the sc to make the tanabe fit. and since the springs for the supra are slightly smaller then the sc's, every time i hit a bump thats, slightly large, u can definitely feel and hear the strut fully extend and fully compress. crazy noise.

To help you out, the sways will work if you use Supra end link mounts. the Lexus ones are totally different.

This may be year dependent. On my '96, the Supra TRD sway bars bolted up the the stock end links perfectly (front and rear). The only difference is the rear Supra sway bar attaches to subframe mounts (the ones from a Supra bolt right on), instead of the frame mounts the stock sways attach to. Also, the rear springs on a Supra are shorter than the SC's, but as long as you use Supra shocks they just bolt on as well (not a problem with coilovers ).
