i have 19x8.5 +24 up front and it barely clears. you would think they were scraping.

this is totally dependent on the wheels. My front wheels are +37 offset, but I could fit an ant farm between my calipers and the spokes.

(1) Measure the gap between your stock calipers and your wheels at the point where the gap is narrowest.
(2) Take off the wheel and measure the difference in width between the stock caliper and the LS400 caliper at that point.
(3) Calculate the difference. Then, give yourself a few mm buffer. That is the spacer size that will be required to fit the bigger calipers.

There is no way of telling how big of a spacer you need since each wheel is unique. The only way to know for certain is to take the measurements.

can't you just make sure that you get wheels that will fit the ls400? I know my wheels are suppose to fit the supra TT which is the brake upgrade I plan to do so I don't think I should have any clearance issues. Or you could just buy wheels that are specifically for big brake clearance.
