What brackets are you referring to?

the calipers themselves are bolt on to your sc...

if you are talking about the hardware that holds the pads in place, you could go to the Lexus dealership or go to Toyota and get the parts from a 80 series land cruiser... they are essentially the same pins and brackets as the ls400 brakes at 1/4 the cost...

just a side questions.

if you get LS400 Rotors. you would need the Rotors as well right?

also would they fit the stock 92 SC400 chrome rims? i believe the rims were an option part.

You need matching LS rotors...

NO, they will not clear SC400 stock rims... these calipers are slightly bigger than other BBK. Although I've seen 06 GS430 oem wheels and really tight fit.

They should. You need at least a 17inch rim.

It's not the size if the rim that matters. The rim needs to be high disk fitment.

I believe the 430 rim fits but don't quote me as I am not 100% positive. Search more in the forum for 430 rim and big brakes.
