Default Brake upgrade sc400

What do you need to convert the brakes from the SC400 to the LS400?
What would I need to accomplish this task?

You need the 95+ LS400 calipers, rotors, and you can reuse your stock lines or get some steel braided ones. Don't use the ls400 lines they are shorter.

You can reuse you caliper mounting bolts but one of them will be a little long and you will have to use a washer. Or you can get the ls400 bolts or cut your stock ones. Many people including myself had to shave a little section near one of the mounting bolt hole because there is a bit of rubbing. It's really simple.

You will have to trim or remove the stock brake dust shield.

Well written Shameed .

After cutting off the edge of the dusk shield. Mount the caliper using the top bolt hole. You'll find when bringing the caliper down to the lower bolt hole, it will stop short by about 1/8 of an inch. Just shave that part of the ear ,then your good to go..Good luck and welcome to CLFL

I am curious, why must the parts come from a 95 or later LS400? I have a 95 SC400 and access to a 92 LS400... will the brakes from a 92 LS400 not work on a 95SC? thanks all.
