economical swap

I looking to put about 450 to the wheels and keep the auto tranny.. what engine would be better 1jz or 2jz

If "only" 450, go single 1jz. Otherwise you have to upgrade the tranny.

The most "economical swap" is the stock one. But with you power in mind. just turbo the 2j and safe guard it.
