Is there any difference from a 92-94, 95-97 sc3 sc4 cluster? I know that the newer sc 98+ has the gated shifter for the cluster looks a little bit different. But other then that can a sc3 cluster fit a sc4 or the other way around?
I want to put a gated shifter in my 95 sc300. I think the gated shifter set up is soooooooooo classy. any body ahve any info. i believe it is the same tranny with a linkage attached??? HELP
so 92-96 are the same and would get the burnt out needles. Did that problem go away with the 97 model?
nope, they are the exact same needles - in a different case with a different mount and base to eliminate interchangeability. They are just newer and not dead YET.
if your asking if a newer model cluster will fit and work in a older model the answer is yea-
Are you sure? My friend was going to sell me a 99 cluster off of an SC300 for my 93 SC300. He told me that is was not going to be a direct plug in and that I had to do some modification. I then took this to ClubLexus. I made a thread about it a while back and people had replied with "No the newer style clusters will not directly plug in using our older style harness."
So my answer for you would be No. No direct fit. Different harness plugs.
