All my cars get the 20% on all windows right after I buy them. Have been doing it for years, and have been happy with it. My previous SC also had the 20% all around.

For some reason, on my newly acquired 1998, I like the car without tint. It just looks really clean. Obviously, I am not used to driving wtihout tint, but what are your thoughts on a tintless WHITE SC? If it was a different color, I would have tinted it already.

However, my previous SC was white AND tinted. WHat is different about this one? I can't figure it out.

Anybody else think a WHITE NON TINT might actually look decent in the long run?

 

i think all cars look better with tint - regardless of color

 

I ran mine without tint and I loved it, but that's having black leather interior...

I ended up going 20% all around as well because Socal sun was beating up the leather =(

If its not going to see the sun much, leave it without tint, looks nice...

 

Tint definitely has its advantages, it makes the car look less busy since you can't see the inside of it. But on certain colors, tintless looks good as well, such as white and silver.

 

i love tints and i dont .the car look so much cleaner without it but its so private and cool with it .if i wasent living in florida i would have clearboys but lexus leather + sun is a no no .i ripped off my tints twice because i like the clean look ,but after a couple days driving without it i missed the privacy and and how cool (titanium)tints keeps the car now both my sc,s have 20% titanium all around

 

It won't see sun at all. Garaged 24/7 when not driven. This might be my only car without tint.

 

The advantages are too numerous to list. With women, and other stuff I love the privacy.

I never liked a car without tint. For some reason, I don't know if the pearl white is so clean with the tan leather or what, the car just looks so "calm" for a lack of a better word, without tint.

Then again all my cars tend to be yellow/red/black, maybe that is why TINT appeals to me.

The 2 SCs I have, have been the only white cars I have owned.

 

Yeah I think thats it, the car has a "clean" look to it. I sold my last White pearl SC to my cousin, and just compared my car to his, and my looks clean, while his looks "dirty." He bought another white 5 speed SC, also tint, and the difference between mine and his seems a lot.

So I guesss no tint for now. Thanks for saving me money boys, (never thought I would say that in a automotive forum!!)

 

i have 20 all around on mine as well, i vote put it on too, it looks better on all cars to me too.

do any of you put it on the windshield? i'm scared about that making the illegal tint wayyy too obvious and making it much harder to drive at night

 

Never had it on windshield. I wish I could compare white SC witih tint and no tint, for you guys and make a poll. Too bad, I am not that tech savy

 

no way i have rode in a car with a tinted front window at night and it sucked- thats why we have sunglasses

 

i actually seen couple supras wit the front tinted probably 35% percent or less ,depending on the color of the car it look iight ,but its jus not worth the tickets
