Default 1UZ Driveability

i was just wondering what would be a few good modifications to make to an sc400 to make it just a little more fun to drive, I'm not talking about dropping a bunch of money into it, maybe $1000 or so. its a daily driver i just want to have a little more fun with. Thanks in advance guys

headers, x pipe, 2 mufflers, and a bfi will set you a little over 1k installed and give you enough hp to keep you busy for a few weeks lol.

Get nitrous, that'll keep you company for about a month.

depends on the brand there, that could go a lot over 1k, ektuning headers are the best fit and they are 1k alone

nitrous is the best option here you can get a kit at like 400-600ishhh

my bad, i forgot to establish what i meant.

i was talking about tex/rush headers but the shipping makes it like $700.. so nvm

2 Magnaflows mufflers which is about $200
Xpipe is about $80
Installed is about 200 with 2.25 piping

BFI is Free to like $20

Wet Nitrous can be around $400+ depepdning on what kit, accessories, new or used

SAFC2 will be about $250 + install (free if you DIY)
Tune will be up to $200

You can get you intake manifold and grind it down in the runners. make it smoother and larger.

Probably require a adjustable FPR (fuel pressure regulator) and/or a tune

Dragon TC for $750

Lextreme TC for $200+ core

there is other parts, just gotta look around i guess

Dragon is a model of Torque Converter made by Presision Industries for our transmission. Excellent mod as it helps keep the RPM's in the power band much better.

Aftermarket cams?? Not really. Some have done regrounds and some have bought aftermarket but they do little to a stock motor. If boosting, it's a different story.

There's no real pulley set for our cars either.

The electric fan is a good mod but not one that results in a noticable HP gain though.

If a stock 97 had 260 HP, what kind of gains are you talking? I'm interested in more punch too.

what headers should he get though?

i've heard S&S... those are like 500-600ish right?
ektuning i've been told is the perfect size but has a 1000$ price tag.

xerd is a bit too short and S&S is a tad too long is what ive heard
