Default remove fog light on 96 sc400

Hey all,

I have searched the forums and have not found anything that can help me.

I am trying to remove the driver's side fog light. I want to take out the whole assembly in order so that I may clean it. It's got this weird algae looking slime inside of it. I was able to take out the headlight, unscrew all the visible nuts and screws from the fog light, but it just wont come out. I've tried using some force, but it wont budge.

So if anyone can help out, it would greatly be appreciated.

Thanks

nah he wants them out of the bumper....there's 3 bolts that gotta come off, all of them are 8mm. two are on the backside of the housing, one is on the top of the housing. After you get those off, disconnect the bulb and then, use some force to push the foglight out. It will come out.

Thanks for all your help.

I was looking at it today, and to my astonishment I didnt see that last screw on top of the fog. Well I got it out and cleaned out all that slime crap inside of it. Im going to try to get new H3 bulbs to see if it'll turn on again. If not I guess ill have to buy a replacement fog.

Going through all of this im feeling comfortable taking stuff apart from the car. Im going to try this weekend to pry open the headlights and give them a good buff. Should look good soon.

make sure you use zip-ties when resealing them, otherwise they might not seal back properly
