Default Inside Trunk Release Problem!

Hi Guys I replaced my old shocks for the stunk with new ones and checked if all my buttons worked and they did. About 3 weeks later I went and tried to open the trunk from the inside but nothing happened.

So I am asking for help as I don't want to go to the stealership to get my switch fixed. I am a DIY type of guy and I am asking if there are any steps I can take to getting the incabine switch to work again? Any fuses or wires I can look for to help find the problem before I have to go get the part # from the dealership and start looking for it on the net so I can replace it myself.

Thanks in advance.

Sounds like the cable in the actuator has broken.

or.. the switch....

have someone test the cable at the rear of the car with a multimeter while you are pulling the switch in the car. If there is a signal then the cable is broken.

good luck

Can you give me pics of where the actuator is located and were the wire runs in the car?

Thanks

The actuator is located next to the actual latch at the back of the car. You must remove the plastic trim pieces and you will see it bolted to the car.

Sorry, I don't have any pictures.
