how long do shocks usually last, i have TEIN HA coilovers, the tire shop told me i need to change my shocks, how long to TEIN HA coilovers last on avg. and can shocks be fixed? this might be a stupid Q but idk anything about this stuff.

 

man... ha's are old school, if they havent been revalved, they're probably long overdue for it.

 

its hard to say. theres a lot of factors that can effect the suspension. but mainly depends on how much you drive the car and how hard you drive it. other stuff like if you drive around with a packed car or full load, harsh conditions like change of weather and the types of roads you drive on also effect it. but most suspension setups will last anywhere from 30,000-50,000 miles or 2-4 years if driven normally. but this just an estimate.

 

just have TEIN rebuild the DAMPENERS.

 

its about 100 bucks to rebuild each, for 850 you can get a new set of TEIN SS or MEGAN. unless you really like the HA then have them rebuild it.

 

NO MEGAN. PLEASE DON'T. They are horrible. Acouple of my friends with that 240sx... i hear they call it an S14 thing. Or Cookie/Zenki(spelling). I sold them a set of Megan street and race coil-overs. And in about .5 of a year they are blown with 3 track days ont he race and the street ones never seen the track. Blown 2 of the 4 coil-overs. If you really want new coil-overs Pm me i can get you a set as well.
