Im becoming more serious about picking up this car in virginia, but im still double checking myself, I think this is turning out to not be a good car. Im not sure if im actually seeing this stuff, or just being really paranoid.

true or false, the 2000 sc300s had a plastic cover over the engine?

also, to SC300 owners, What color is your car, and what color is your front core support, and do you have a plastic cover over it?

Is the door just halfway closed, or is it not sitting properly? the bottom seems to line up, but the side does not.

carfax says this car was in a auction (my friend belives it was repo'ed) Do you think it was a damaged car that was traded into a dealership, and then they just wholesaled it, thus, never getting disclaimed on the damage?
It also says there was 1 owner, and does not show any records of maintence.

I live no where near this car, and Im trying to learn as much about it, since there is going to be alot of money to buy it, and even get it down to texas, wheather I ship it, or drive it down.
I asked for some specific pictures of some problem areas, we will see how they turn out when I get them.
It looks like its a really nice car, but I cant tell if something really did happen to it, or just cause I cant see it in person, im flipping out too much.

My car is black...but the core support is a different shade of black. Plus the 99 Sc400 I looked at last month was Red with a black core support.

Its been painted..Silvers are the easiest to see fix-ups.

 

yea door looks like its not closed all the way

the rear bumper has been repainted for sure, which is probably why you see very little overspray on the muffler

Im having a hardtime telling if its been painted, how can yall tell? The only thing I notice is what looks like some silver over the muffler (not the tip) and even then I dont know if its just shade.
