Question What size bulb?

I want to change my headlights and fog lights to PIAA bulbs. Does anyone know what size I need to get for a 98 SC 300? And also will the aftermarket bulbs shorten the lifespan of the headlights or cause any bad side effects?

Thanks.

Fog lights take H3 bulbs.
High Beams take 9006 bulbs.
Regular Beams take 9006 bulbs.
You also have city lights to the side of your regular beams, hopefully someone will correct me if i'm wrong, but i think they are 194 (i think they say it on the bulb anyways).

the PIAA bulbs are pretty good for lasting a long amount of time. My previous Hiper Industries bulbs last for about 8 months (higher wattage version). but be careful! once they burn out, take them out or you will burn the socket! mine was slightly burnt after only 3 days of being burnt.

are you going for hid look or ?

those parking lights next to the regular beams, you can replace them with piaa 5w wedge bulbs (168 wedge). if you get piaa bulbs for all your lights, i'd suggest you get all the same color for a more uniform look (if that's what you want).

check out the piaa's website and they can give you the bulbs that will fit your car (application guide) or better yet, look in your owners manual for the correct bulb replacement.

Hey thanks, this really helps. I like the look that the audi headlights have. Kinda that super white, purple tint. That's what I'm going for.

not sure about the fog lights BUT

high beam=9005
low beam=9006

most of those cheap low quality aftermarket headlight bulbs will probably blow a fuse, melt the housing and blow out fast. you got the right idea of choosing PIAA.

does anyone know where i can get HIDs for semi-cheap. Are they hard to install and what's a good brand?

Is it better to just go to the dealer?
I would like the Audi HIDs but I don't think it would fit and would probably cost a lot.
