I was coming home on highway 84 through the Livermore hills in California. It was 10pm. The roads were empty. I was driving behind a prius. Highway 84 has some pretty steep, sharp and blind turns. So we were driving, the Prius takes the sharp turn at the peak of the hill. Its my turn to take it next. I come around and the prius is at a complete stop. So I hit the brakes and hit him. The cause of the accident was a stalled truck and a group of 5+ people trying to push it over the steep hill in the middle of the night. What had made the prius in front of me stop was some of the people that were out of their cars were walking around on our side of the freeway putting themselves in alot of danger. I seriously thought a life was going to be taken that night. Luckily no one was hurt. Except our cars.

 

sorry to hear that man... hopefully you can work something out with your insurance company seeing as how you were screwed by the situation, not your own mistake (unless you were trying to apex that corner like shumi or something )

Sorry to hear about your car.......far worse damage than my car. Thank goodness nobody was hurt. Guess its a bad weekend for some of us. Goodluck getting everything fixed. I'll shoot you a pm sometime next week regarding the shop.

Sorry about your car man, nothing major was damaged I assume? I spun out 2 nights ago and my back tire deflated... =( Bad weekend for us NorCal people... =(

 

That sucks man, and unfortunately there is a very good chance your insurance company will be finding you at fault.

Damage doesnt look too bad, time for CF fenders, hood, and a body kit.

 

+1 Thats sucks man, Thats why I hate following behind people at night on roads like that. i like to see as far ahead as possible with no one infront of me.

Yeah. I took it to a body shop that works on alot of Supras. The guy took a look at it and said there is some minor frame damage. So now I have to get it up on one of those machines that check the frame alignment. After all the is done im going with the full 97 body conversion of maybe just the headlights only it depends. Im trying to purchase a 97 BMW 850CSI from my uncle so I want to make sure I dont over spend. But anyway, when Im done with the whole thing I'll post pictures.

Oh man, the frame might be bent? Thats pretty rediculous, make you should check for yourself under the car to any visible damage and check the alignment/corner balance to see if there really is frame damage. If anything I think your aluminum reinforcement bar got messed up, but not the frame.

 

Pick up the CSI!!! that is a rare car!!! Hope the fix doesn't cost an arm and a leg.
