What would make you think brake lines for the GS would fit the SC????

They are two completely different cars, chassis', & bodies.

they do share the same engine, so maybe thats why he thought that. It's not THAT far fetched, I mean the LS brake lines are the same as the SC4 lines and those are two different chassis/body sharing the same engine

Are the LS lines the same as the SC's or do they just happen to "fit"?

Very interesting. I am surprised that they both use the exact same lengths.

SC

Wheelbase 106in
Length 192.5in

LS

Wheelbase 112.2in
Length 196.7in

The extra 6 inches in wheelbase alone leads me to believe that the LS just happens to fit the SC since it's "longer", but that the SC lines wouldn't quite reach on the LS. But, who knows

That makes no sense. We're talking about interchangablity between models/classes not "will a toyota filter fit on my Lexus" newb question.

imho, I respectfully disagree with that, here's why. The wheel base has absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with the length of the brake hose. The hose just make a flex conection between the brake hard line and the caliper. that distance is going to be very similar among passenger cars.

For reference, the brake hose fittings on the SC are 10mm x 1.0mm. Anything with those fittings will screw on. The lengths of the hose are also probably very close given that the suspension is similar. It more the even odds that the gs3 lines fit.

(Are you suggesting that they should be 6 inches longer??? He's not asking about the hard lines, and yes, they'd likely be longer, he's asking about the hoses.)
