The caption under the first pic says "intercooled vortech supercharged on a SC400" I think this is a custom job because I thought swift racing made their own chargers. Pretty phat though
I'm actualy from Australia car has not been finished yet the project has been going for 4 months. Its has nothing to do with srt spercharges. Its a custom job. Have any questions, I'll be happy to answer them...
I'm also an SC400 driver from Australia.... i can't say i'm too serious about getting mine supercharged at this stage (due to financial constraints - insuring a jap import at the age of 23 isn't cheap - let alone a modified one).... but i would still be really interested in anything you have to tell us about the project to date (expected output, cost, headaches, what's still to be done, etc?)
By the way have you seen the SC400 that was supercharged in perth? (sorry can't remember the link)
By the way I'm 23 too. I'm from Melbourne, what state are you from? The boys that are doing the job didnt think it will be a big headache as they have found out. I should get the car back next week there having trouble with computer which has been going for three weeks. Over the weekend there are two engineers looking at the custom made computer, so it should be solved.
I'll post more pics of the car with the bodykit when I get it back.
That one in perth was done by powerhouse using a top mount blower, I was the first to try the centrifugal blower.
I'm in NSW. Good onya for having the ***** to attempt such a unique mod!
One of my mates does alot of supercharging (mainly commodores etc.) and looking at my engine bay he commented that it'd be a 'challenging' job. Is the custom made computer based on the original or a particular aftermarket one?
Hope the engineers have some luck and some pics of your soarer with the kit would be great.
