Default Adjusting the front bumper

Since I recently had my 400 repainted I noticed that the front bumper is not lined up as good as it could be. It looks to be a little on the low side. If you look at the pics in my other thread, https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=220139, you can see how far off it is by looking at the high beams. The car may have been in an accident in the past.

How difficult is it to adjust the front bumper? How many fasteners hold the front bumper on? It looks like I get to have some more fun here soon.

the red is where the clips and nuts and such are...I think I got all of em...doesnt really look like you can adjust the bumper too much, your hood looks uneven...oh and theres a retainer with 2 nuts under each side of the fender

the bumper is not so hard to remove, but i dont think there is much room for adjustment, the screws pretty much allign everything for you...as for how many, well i got a half baggie full of nuts and bolts

The hood was popped in that pic. Maybe on mine it is just the highbeams that need to be adjusted into place better. Notice the drivers side high beam. It doesn't look like it is in the right place.

It looks just like the high beams need some adjustment. There is some room to move them around. There are three bolts holding them in place. Two under the rubber weatherstripping on the bumper and one on the side of the light. Basically adjust it so it looks right, then use the fine adjustment screw on the back of the light with the bubble sight to make sure they are aimed correctly and you're good.

If it is the bumper that is off, be it because of an accident or whatever there is really not much you can do to adjust it.

Have you fixed the problem with the bumper/hood yet? Forgive me if these suggestions have already been covered. I didnt read all the replies.
It looks like you are just needing all the little clips that go around the lights. Thus the edges around the bumper are out too much. They should be a little tucked under the lights and clips in place. Since you have a bag of bolts. Obviously its not together the way it should. And hood also may need adjusting too.
Im guessing they removed the hood to paint?
I would take the bumper and headlights all the way off and redo the install completely. Then see what it looks like. Another thing is it looks like the rubber seal around the hood is missing ?
When i bought my 97 bumper . And had it painted. I didnt have the impact absorber ,so they didnt install it . So I had to install it a couple days later myself. I also had to switch the sideskirts Verst. sideskirts since they were backwards . ....But anyway...
It wasnt difficult . But you do need all the clips and screws to really get a good fit. And putting it together in the correct order will help too. so a manual . Or directions would be a big help to you.
And the same for the hood . It does need to be aligned right to fit . And there are directions in the FSM .
Like i said , i installed my bumper. As well as my CF hood myself. And it wasnt hard on either. But i did have to take my time and adjust a few times.
If you need directions from the manual or any ?s . Feel free to ask. And again forgive me if im covering info thats been given already.
BTW i like the new color , it looks great
