Default turn signal short?

The car is a 92" sc40 with 105000 miles and its in great condition. Strangely enough the other day things started happening when i put on the turn signals. I put it to the right and the radio turned on and off quickly as i think the dash flashed as well. Then at one point i put on the left turn signal and all the power and even the engine cut off for a moment then back on again. Very strange and this is intermittent. Any ideas, please help!!!!!! Also, wondering if this has happened to others.
thanks in advance,
will

It could be your battery's ground cable?

I concur with Hain, proly the 'ghosts' of the ground. Saw this with my 93 300 5spd and the problem went away with new cable connectors and cleaning the posts.

Mainly turn signal but also brakes.

Do a search for 'Electrical Ghosts'

Good luck with your fix.

Why would you say that? Sounds more like a grounding problem than a battery problem.

It will be interesting to see. I had the same problem I changed out my battery connectors and put in another battery. I hope it wasn't just a temp fix for me....
