Default weird starting problem

ok
the onely thing done yesterday to the car was swpping the headunit
Now today, the car won't start,
the ecu was never touched, and the onthing in the cosole is the new hu and climate control stuff, how can that affect startinbg.

and now the wierd part, when I try to start it (cranking the motor, there is a tickin sound behind the AC/dash area.
and when I stop and take out the key it ticks tree more times
I can replicate this every time

the car cranks, so it's getting juice
and I smell gasoline, so it is getting fuel
somehow it still won't turn over, maybe not getting spark somehow???
weird....

never mind about the ticking, think it's coming form the motorized headunit,
so it's just a normal "not starting" thread

Check to make sure your getting spark, timing belt hasn't slipped, distributor is intact...thats all I can think of now.

Occasionally I've heard of this problem happening when your ECU gets fried though.

Check the fuses and the battery connections
