Default Automatic to manual conversion?

I searched, didn't really find what I wanted. How hard/possible is an auto to manual conversion in an earlier SC? I've just been looking at them for a while and I was wondering.

Beuller?..

Well, here's some elaboration.

I've been looking for an SC3/4 for a while, can't really seem to find one in my area that isn't in Iowa quality or doesnt have 325k on the clock. I have, also, been only looking at 5speeds, but I was wondering- If I were to get an automatic, would it be easy to convert it to a 5 speed when I swapped the motor? I figure it'd be best to do both at once.

Or.....would it be best to keep the auto? I'm still a really big noob to these cars.
