Should I.......???
some one has offered me a trade of there sc300 for my sc400....the car is a 92 sc300 it has 225k on the clock...has brand new paint....never been in a accident...the interior is in good condition.....and the car drives ok...could use new control arm bushings,etc..but overall the car is in better condition visually than my car....
my 93 sc400 has 127k....its got a 97 front bumper....but the bumper is unaligned and chipping in some spots....the hood sits up on one side...and my driver side door needs to be replaced due to hit and run.....still in legal troubles with this as to wether or not the door will be getting fixed as i only have liability insuance and dont have the money to fix it now
he wants to trade even for the cars....what would you do...

I have an sc400 and at times I would like a 300 because of gas, but trading cars straight up like that seems fishy to me because you have to take into consideration and wonder why he would want a 400? One that has a damaged driver side door messed up 97 front bumper and etc. Thinking its the miles? Instead of 200k miles he wants 127k? So he is willing to trade a freshly painted car with nice interior for a beat up one(no offense, I'm just saying, in not as great condition) sounds fishy don't it? If he really wanted your 97 front he could probably get it for a couple hundred bucks painted on his car. I think he knows something may be coming up soon with his engine and wants to dress the car up so he could sell it quick. Good paint and interior doesn't make the car run, you have lower miles and know where you stand with your car... I say keep yours, deals too good to be true

Ah, you guys.... I was just trying to help the guy out. Okay my fault... That was false information. Sorry... i have heard that the 300 has the same gas mileage but its just hard to believe sometimes that the v6 has the same gas mileage as the v8.all in all keep the 400

To the thread starter, keep your car and fix the cosmetic issues.

Keep yours and fix it or leave it as is.

I have to agree with everyone else. 100K miles difference is the deal breaker. Thats 5-8 years worth of miles for the avg driver .
Unless you are wanting to boost the car. I would definately keep what you have. At least you know the problems your current car has.
