I fixed my driver door a while back and now the passenger went as well. Now... the driver door I fixed is in-op again. It's been a year. I can not get the door open from outside or inside. I have no way to get the door open. I have no idea what to do.

Both doors are in-op and the widow is down enough on the driver side to reach in on the driver door to try and open the door but not far enough down to crawl into. The inside handle will not open the door either. It sounds like the plastic piece came off partially or all the way.

Please help, I am in dire need of my car right now,

Thanks in advance

Can you try hooking the passenger side interior handle?
I don't think they would go bad the same way, the driver door sound like the door actuator is broken

ARgh, I just power locked my doors and now my driver door wont open. Handle feels like its locked, it just pulls up with no resistance. lock mechanism still feels like its doing something..Lucky my passenger door still works or I'd be in Bouncers shoes. Ill dig into it tomorrow, there are 2 SC's in the local yard and I may have to go pilage them again.

mine just broke on passenger side and i almost f×*ked it up by bringing my window down. Gonna order from toyota first thing Monday....

I got into my non functioning passenger door today and found the rod to be missing altogether. I pulled the speaker box and found the errant rod at the front end of the door. The eyelet that goes into the latch was broken as discussed on previous pages. I may try and fab one up. First I'll pull the latch assembly and have a look at the eyelet attachment to see if a more robust piece will fit.

I've been fooling around with my tube benders and have a trial piece. This is 1/4" tube inside a piece of 3/8 tube. I haven't got the bends down just right but I think this may work out. I also discovered for myself, and after re reading this thread, that the factory piece is a loop, not a fork as with the repair pieces. I tried removing the drivers side rod from my parts car and figured this out when it wouldn't come out.

Thank you for the great pictorial! I'm no mechanic but didn't even break a nail. One hour of my time and $13 in parts...Amazon sells the 69293-12030 replacement clip in packages of 10, thus the higher price. Saved me hundreds at the dealership. Now on to the broken antenna retracting motor...

I just replaced the plastic clip on my drivers side last weekend. It took some time trying to get the new clip on. I think it is very important to put the clip in the door handle hole first (Not on the rod bc then when you put the rod with the clip on in the hole, it does not sit securely). Then you spin the clip upside down and put the rod in the hole where the clip sits. Then I spun the clip around and snapped it in onto the rod. When I put the lock mechanism back on, I made sure the wires snapped in. I had someone else hold the door panel while I was doing this to make sure they snapped back in securely. Its been 3 days now and I am not having any issues.

Aliga, I will need the driver side door actuator assembly for a 95 Lexus SC400. My door currently does not open from inside and out. Will probably need a black inside door panel as well as I will most likely need to break the one that is on the car to get to internals of the door. Really a pain in the ... here.....

I know this is an extremely old post but do you have one of these mechanisms available? I just purchased a well taken care of 1995 Lexus SC300. Everything works perfect and only 136,213 miles. One problem, the driver's door won't open from the outside. I pulled off the door panels and discovered that not only was the clip gone but so was the rod. I think the seller knew this and I naively believed it was just a "simple clip" that was missing he said.

Wrong! :-(

So do you have access to a full actuator driver's door assembly? I would appreciate hearing from you if you have one available.

I am thinking 69293-12060 or is it 69293-12050 for plastic rod clip in a 1995 SC400? Please advise. Thanks.
