Default what LSD fits SC300 5spd?

im looking for a LSD for my 93 SC300 5spd. my big question is, will the surpa ones fit? meaning will the whole rear differential bolt up to the SC mounting points and the SC 1/2 shafts?

also, has anyone gotten any aftermarket LSD (kaaz, trd, etc)? feedback?

The whole pumpkin from the Automatic TT Supra will bolt right up. I think you have to replace 1 of the 1/2 axles.
What I did was cheaper, and to me...easier. You take just the carrier out of an auto TT pumpkin, and have a local differential shop swap it into your pumpkin. The reason to get just the carrier instead of the whole pumpkin?
1) Shipping weight(and therefore cost) is just a fraction of a full pumpkin.
2) TT owners who upgrade to TRD usually have the carrier laying around somewhere and will let it got for <$200
3) You get to keep your 4.27 gear which is better for acceleration.

As for other products, I’m not sure, but DaveH is currently working on a LSD. PM me for a link to the place to look for updates.

Cheers,
~Alan

kaaz 2-way is very loud on a cold day, but you can feel a BIG difference when conering. i had cusco as well(just installed wrong) same thing pretty much. if you can put up with a little kicking and the grinding noise 2-way lsd is the way to go. and yes you would purchase the supra lsd when ordering an aftermarket.

The na Supra lsd also works but are hard to find. I'll be using a TRD unit.

The 6 speed rear does not fit: the internals will not swap (they are larger), and to use the housing you will need a different axle and slightly shorter driveshaft.

The supra NA and turbo automatics will swap, but you need to change out the front flange that attaches to the driveshaft as the turbo rear 3 bolts sit slightly farther apart.

Also from my experience, 98+ needs to swap axles as they are smaller and do not bolt up.
