Default Whats wrong with my baby?

Here is the scenario. My car an sc300 has been down for about 2 weeks trying to get an alternator for it. Got the part put in car drives fine. Well after a little bit of driving my car starts bogging out. I push on the gas but no response and if it is its way to late and its just a spurt. So im trying to go party and **** for the new years and car does it on the highway, this time it keeps bogging down until i had to stop because i couldnt build up anymore speed. When im driving I can also here something crackling behind the wheel sounds really weird. The thing is when I cut the car off and turn it back on it acts like nothing is wrong for a while but then it acts up again. If anyone can help me I would appreciate it so much, im no mechanic and I have the slightest idea whats wrong with my black beauty. Thanks

Does anyone think that it might be my ecu? Because when I turn the car then back on it runs fine for a while but then starts to act up again.

Default does the clock also reset itself?

If so make sure your battery connections are tight. My SC 300 did something similar to yours and the negative battery connection was loose just enough to cause the car to "die" briefly upon accelerating...

Is it after a while or just at certain speeds?
If it's at certain speeds I'm going to guess your tranny maybe going in the higher gears.
Does the engine rev up like it's in neutral and finally click into place and burst off?
My tranny died recently so that's what mine was like. Really strange because alot of the gears were shot.

Yeah its kinda like there. When i get up in the higher speeds or lower sometimes it jerks and then catches back on, but one time it didnt catch and the car was just reving up and car started slowing down until it finally stoped but the car was still on. What i did was just turned off the car and then turned it back on and it worked fine again but then after a while it did it again. One more question if it is the tranny how much did it cost you to fix it?

Well I got the tranny used for cheap at a junkyard. For $250 I believe we bought it for.
We have a family friend that did the work for us.

i dont believe the trans is your problem it sounds to me like the car is going into safe mode. are you throwing any codes at all? try resetting your ecu. also remove your stock ground from the neg. batt to the chassis and bolt it right into your block. this may all be caused from a bad ground issue.
