MKIV Supra shift boot = SC300 boot?
Hey guys, I tried searching for this but only got threads for AT shift *****. I hope some one can answer my question.
Is the MKIV Supra shift boot interchangeable with the SC300 shift boot?
Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the heads-up.
I actually don't need a new one, but I'm helping a friend who makes custom shift boots determine whether his MKIV Supra boot will fit SCs.

hard to tell because u just cant switch them . i mean u can. but if u took off the piece that is around the shifter u will notice that u boot is STUCK on there. they like melted the plastic so u really cant take off the boot. and the only way to replace it CORRECTLY is to buy a whole new pice.

There is always more than one way to do something correctly. I will have a very cool shift boot option for you shortly.

They are not the same.
The 6 speed shifter has a larger diameter.
If you want to use the 5 speed boot with the 6s speed shifter you can remove the plastic ring from the 5 speed boot and replace it with a zip tie

Very informative, thank you for the reply.
I finally managed to find a used stock SC300 boot so the project is now well underway. Cheers, WMP

Well here it is, finally! Just got the new boot back and it looks
great. Don't mind the loose fitment; I did not attach the seat heater switches and the space is from the wiring harness being between the shifter console and the center tunnel.
It fits perfectly!
Check it out!

Haha I forgot about that. Badass. Either way my man, you'll get the boot back next time Tochi comes to the shop; he has it in his trunk.
What's good with that white MR2?

Josh,
Would you do me a solid and take a few pics of the boot once it's back in your car with the seat heater switches installed?
I just took these pics real fast in Tochi's car for fitment purposes w/o the seat heater switches.
Thanks man!

Josh,
Tochi tells me you are swapping your motor into his Supra? Are you gonna do a rebuild first or is it good to go as is? Badass.
