Default Should i remove the resonators ?

i have installed performance stainless stell mufflers. Car has a nice deep tone at idle. However I am not sure if it is loud enough.
Will it be too loud if the resonators are removed?
Would there be any performance gain from doing this?

no preformance gain fromy my expierence, gets a little louder(just right), gets deeper, sounds just as clear but louder as i said. I did this with my RMM exhaust on my SC400 and it made a world of difference for me! had them fire it up and rev it with the resonators on and it was hardly louder than stock, so I had them remove the rear resonators and it was awesome. Resonators get a big fat in my opinion..... so yes! get rid of them! haha.

hmmm strange deal... When I had my 93 GS300 I put HKS rear mufflers on the car and it got pretty loud, when I did the same mod to my 95 SC400 (that I sold) it was almost stock sounding..

I think the V8 has more deadening material or something

I just had my resonators removed... It sounds almost the same as it did with them on... I thought it would be louder... I think it is just a tiny bit louder and makes a little different tone..

Other than that, not much difference at all.

I might go get those things taken off.

How about cats?
I dont think any shop will remove them because of legal issues right?

Most shops wont anymore. To gut the middle cat, actually had to take the head sheld off, cut the cat in 2, and still spend 30-60mins on gutting it, then weld it back together. I tried to bang it out, but i guess its metal, not ceremic like most other cars. It just laughs at drill bits, hammers, and big metal rods
