I'm all for heritage, but those are just unappealing to me in every way. Especially the one with '87 celica GTS wheels (second over from right) because that's a bad flashback of a completely different story there

They are for real! I wondered the same thing and I asked SCtexas about it and he said this was sort of an early version of VIP. It has it's own name and people still mod like this but it eventually morphed into what we know as VIP now.

Its called bozuka(SP?)
Its still popular these days. Old school cars with crazy body kits, crazy offset wheels riveted fender flares and crazy 5 ft high exhausts.

i personally don't like the 350/g35 conversion myself.. I like the g35 by itself, plus i'm not a big fan of convertible's either... so that's a subaru motor in there?

I think the modding trend you guys are talking about is called bozosoku. They still have that kinda trend thesedays (or from what I've seen in Japan), with Cimas etc. wtih widebody conversions, nuts wings etc etc... like the vans they do up over there.

That car is in one of my option magazines and its says z33 and im pretty sure it wasn't refering the the headlights. I can't read japanese so i could be totally wrong. Japan also never got the d32 eclipse as far as i know. Can anyone confirm exactly what this car is . Im curious to know now. I can take a pic of my option mag of the car and maybe someone can translate it for us.

I thought it was a 350Z as well. Interesting. Oh, the Z33 front and G35 rear looks nice imo. They suit each other well.
