I have been seeing a lot of discussion about color. I would prefer to focus on performance rather than color. Couldn't enveryone just paint it the color they wanted. I would rather pay for a lighter and stronger material then color. That's my 2 cents...
mrK...I agree completely. Thats why I said, if Titanium doesn't fall through. It's just that if we have to settle fo rsomething less than titanium, we should at least get something that looks good and I don't think manaray would sacrifice performance for looks....thats why he's not looking into $75 STBs.
Ok, here's the deal...the Titanium one will be too much...the Aluminum one will be definitely affordable and I have found a simple way to get the most bars out of the marterial so it will lower cost. I am currently looking for a SC to pattern off of...I'm also researching prices for anodizing...I might do a smoke grey or blue color...dunno, I'll have to see what they can do before I pick a color...I will also do a brushed silver and some sort of black (anodized or powdercoated).
I believe this was started last year in an effort to find a "roll bar" for the front of the SC 400. It would connect to the top of the two front struts hence the name. It has been a cold thread until a reply the other day.
You might check with Manaray as his last post on this topic had some specifics though it was over a year ago.
