Finally decided to put on my TT brakes that have been sitting and collecting dust. How that I have these in, I think I'm going to keep the car. I'm currently trying to source another pair of the black Advans or I might just throw the silver ones one. Rear brakes soon to be installed as well and still debating on 1jz or 2jz. There are more pics that show clearance but these are just quick pics:
Front rotor comparison-
Rockin' the $2 slippers-
Pretty close but will put on 18's if I upgrade brakes again-
The rear is visually lacking now-
The driving impression is very good. Braking isn't night/day in my opinion because the rear isn't as great as the fronts, however, half the job is done. I plan to slap on the rears before doing any tracking. The sorry part is, my friend JUST picked up a 97 TT all the parts I'm upgrading to... he has STOCK!!!!!!
do stock TT brakes come cross drilled? how long was the install for the fronts? any issues i need to know about? i plan on upgrading in the near future and want to see if there is going to be a tedious task, thanks man and looking good and get 4 of the same wheels..
just bend the heatshield back. Keep test fitting and see where it rubs then just bend that part back. Stock lines are fine, paint the calipers first if you want to save some time. No need for the pad silencer stuff cause of the design. heheh, yeah 4 of the same wheels, good idea but it's gonna be mismatched when i start doing back to driftdays anyways.
